The Northside Celebration came to life on the auditorium stage of North High School in North Minneapolis on March 18 and 19, 2017. This collaborative concert experience celebrated the Northside community through music and spoken word. Springing from almost seven prior years of partnership, these concerts were co-produced by the Capri Theater and the SPCO.
October 2017 marks the sixth anniversary of our Liquid Music series. Patrick Marschke, an alum of the series team, returned to interview Kate Nordstrom, Liquid Music Curator and Executive Producer of Special Projects at The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.
On October 29, 1993, Minnesota Public Radio saved the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra from going out of business with a radiothon. SPCO Artistic Director Kyu-Young Kim says “It’s not hyperbole, just a simple statement of fact.”
