A charitable gift annuity is a gift that provides immediate support to the SPCO while providing a fixed, annual income payment to you (and/or a beneficiary, if you choose) for life.
A charitable gift annuity involves a simple contract between you and the SPCO and can be established with a gift of cash, stock or other appreciated assets.
Here is an example of how a charitable gift annuity works:
You and your partner, ages 65 and 62, contribute $15,000 in cash to establish a charitable gift annuity.
- The SPCO receives a significant gift that immediately supports the SPCO’s commitment to providing transformational performances at affordable prices for the broadest possible audience in our community
- You receive an immediate tax deduction of $4,198
- You receive regular (quarterly, semi-annual or annual) payments totaling $615 per year for the rest of your lives
- When your annuity reaches term, your gift remains in the SPCO’s endowment fund to support the SPCO’s transformational performances for years to come
These calculations are for illustration purposes only.

We encourage you to consult a professional advisor (such as an attorney, accountant or financial planner) to determine the giving vehicle that will best meet your needs.
