Free Student Tickets

Thanks to generous funding from a small group of individual donors, tickets to regular SPCO concerts are free for students of all ages. The SPCO is committed to sharing the music we play with the broadest possible audience in our community. We believe music has the power to inspire, challenge, move and uplift and that everyone, including young people, deserves the opportunity to experience transformational performances. Free tickets for students expands access to the arts, making it easier than ever to experience SPCO concerts.

How it works:

  • Students can sit in any available seat, at any regular concert for FREE (note: all students need a ticket to attend — see below for restrictions).
  • Order online using the “Student” price type or call our Ticket Office at 651.291.1144 to reserve your free tickets.
  • Present your valid student ID at will call to pick up your tickets at the concert.

FAQs ABOUT FREE STUDENT TICKETS:

 Who qualifies as a “student”?

Any current student with a valid student ID. Students must present their student ID to pick up their free tickets at will call.

Is there a limit to the number of student tickets I can get?

Students are welcome to reserve free tickets to as many concerts as they would like to attend throughout the season. Students may reserve up to four free tickets at a time, but each attendee must present a valid student ID to pick up their free tickets at will call at the concert.

Which seats and concerts are eligible for free student tickets?

Any price seat and all regular subscription concerts are eligible for free student tickets. The only concerts not eligible for free student tickets are our annual holiday concerts, Arts Partnership Co-presentations and other special concerts.

Can I reserve free student tickets for a school or community group?

Yes, but group reservations must be coordinated directly with our Ticket Office and cannot be made online. We encourage a ratio of one chaperone for every 10–15 attendees under the age of 18. For more information on seat availability and reservations, please contact Jo Gilbertson at 651.292.3248 or email [email protected].
