PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

With additional activity at the new Ordway Concert Hall, we want you to know your options for getting to the Ordway and parking downtown. We always recommend allowing extra time for travel and parking to ensure you don’t miss a minute of your concert. There are numerous parking options in downtown Saint Paul including paid lots, ramps and meters, in addition to several public transit routes. You can ride the new Green Line Light Rail to concerts at the Ordway to avoid driving downtown and paying for parking altogether. The nearest Green Line stop is just a few blocks from the Ordway at 5th and Cedar (Central Station).

Nearby dining options
In addition to attending your concert, you can enjoy dinner before the show or post-concert dessert and drinks at one of the many fantastic restaurants within walking distance of the Ordway. Click here and then on the “dining” tab for a list of amenities near the Ordway.

Fanfare pre-concert discussions
Fanfare, the SPCO’s discussion series held before Friday and Saturday concerts, will be held in the Concert Hall.* Seating for the Fanfare presentation is general admission, so feel free to try different seating locations during this time. Don’t worry if another patron is sitting in your assigned concert seat during Fanfare—there will be time between Fanfare and the concert to move into your assigned seats. Ushers will help transition the hall from general admission Fanfare use to assigned concert seating.

Pre-order your drinks for intermission
All bar locations allow patrons to order a drink for intermission any time before the performance begins. Simply pre-order and pre-pay for your drink, and it will be waiting for you with your name on it at intermission! There is no additional charge for this service, though gratuity is always appreciated.

Enjoy your drink in the Concert Hall
Beverages in paper or plastic cups and bottled water are allowed in both the Music Theater and the new Concert Hall. Lids for hot beverages will be required before entering the performance areas. Food items may be enjoyed in the lobby areas but are not allowed inside the halls.

*Please note: there may be select Fanfare discussions that cannot be held in the Concert Hall due to rehearsal schedules. Watch your email for concert reminders notifying you of any changes to your concert’s Fanfare presentation. Ushers will know where your concert’s Fanfare discussion is taking place.
