Employment

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. Many different talents and skills are needed to provide management and support for this cultural treasure.

Internships

The SPCO offers unpaid internships in four areas: development, education, marketing & public relations, and operations. All internships are unpaid, although interns are encouraged to take advantage of free tickets during the performance season (September through May).

Departmental time requirements vary, but most are flexible. Responsibilities vary greatly, but some responsibilities may include data entry, inventory, mailers, press release distribution, telephoning, assisting with event planning, updating spreadsheets and archiving. Interns are encouraged to attend departmental meetings as well. Most internships require a commitment of 10-20 hours per week for a three-month period. January-only internships are sometimes available.
