The SPCO is holding auditions for performances of:
- Handel’s Messiah (December 18, 19, and 20, 2014)
- Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (February 12, 13, and 14, 2015)
Members of the SPCO Chorale will receive financial compensation for rehearsals and performances. Commitment to both projects is not required; however, commitment to the entire rehearsal and performance schedule is mandatory for each project.
- September 18-20, 2014: Open Auditions
- September 23, 2014 (evening): Recall Auditions for Soprano/Alto
- September 30, 2014 (evening): Recall Auditions for Tenor/Bass
Each audition will include a performance of two contrasting solo works. This will be followed by a one-on-one session with SPCO Chorale Artistic Director Dr. Dale Warland to determine vocal range, tonal memory, simple sight reading ability and general musicality. The audition will take approximately 20 minutes. A pianist will be available to accompany each audition for a fee of $20. You are welcome to bring your own accompanist to the audition if you desire.
