Frequently Asked Questions

What is the SPCO Audience Match?

The SPCO Audience Match is a fundraising initiative encouraging recent SPCO donors to inspire fellow SPCO audience members to make a new gift to the SPCO. From now through April 17, 2023, recent Annual Fund donors who make an increased gift or pledge (see below for examples of qualifying gifts), will have the full amount of that increased gift be pooled with those from other donors. This pool will then be used as a matching gift incentive to encourage others to make a new gift to the SPCO. Any new or corporate matching gifts made between April 18 and June 30, 2023 will be matched.

Donations from audience members like you are the SPCO’s largest and most important source of support — your increased support is extremely meaningful in encouraging more SPCO audience members to support music in our community. Thank you!

What gifts qualify for the SPCO Audience Match?
There are several ways to contribute to the Audience Match:

  • Make an increased gift of any size to the SPCO’s Annual Fund, and the full amount of your increased gift will count toward the Audience Match
  • Make an increased personal gift and ask your employer to match it, and your employer’s matching funds will also count toward the Audience Match
  • Make a new or renewed gift of $5,000 or more to the SPCO’s Annual Fund, and the full amount of your gift will count toward the Audience Match

Example: A Sustaining donor increases their donation from $25 per month to $35 per month before April 17. The total of their increased monthly gifts charged before April 17 counts toward the SPCO Audience Match!

Example: A recent donor gave $500 last year. Before April 17, this donor makes an increased gift of $600. The full $600 of this increased gift counts toward the SPCO Audience Match!

Example: A recent donor already gave this year. Before April 17, this donor makes an additional gift of $250. This additional gift of $250 counts toward the SPCO Audience Match!

Where do Audience Match gifts go?
100% of gifts made as part of the Audience Match go to the SPCO’s Annual Fund, our largest and most important source of support. Thank you!

Does the Audience Match make a difference?
Yes! In 2022, more than 300 donors were inspired to give because of the SPCO Audience Match, resulting in over $70,000 in support for the SPCO!
