Tonight will be a historic night in the history of the SPCO, and we hope you’ll join us in person or online.

Live Broadcast and Internet Stream

Our opening concerts may be sold out, but you can participate in tonight’s performance through a LIVE broadcast on Classical MPR beginning at 7:30 p.m. If you’re one of our fans beyond Minnesota, you can hear us on the live MPR stream.

Social Media

We’ll also join forces with the Classical MPR team to share photos and backstage updates on Twitter throughout the evening. Just follow @thespco and @ClassicalMPR. During the concert, we’ll use the #spcolive hashtag, and you’re welcome to do the same.

Last-Minute Tickets

While both performances of the opening celebration concerts are sold out, it’s likely that last-minute cancellations will open up some seats just prior to the concert. If you want one of those seats, our Ticket Office staff encourages you to come to the Ordway box office beginning at 5:30 p.m. to see if tickets have been turned back. You can also try calling the SPCO Ticket Office at (651) 291-1144.

Celebrations at the Ordway (Thursday, March 5)

Were you one of the lucky people who managed to get a ticket for tonight’s concert? Come early and stay late to join our celebration of these historic performances. Here’s what’s happening:

6:00 p.m.: Bars will open and the space will be open for ticket holders to explore.

6:30-7:00 p.m.: Join us in the Concert Hall for a special discussion between lead acoustician Paul Scarbrough, lead architect Tim Carl, and SPCO President and Managing Director Bruce Coppock to learn more about the process of designing the concert hall.

After the Concert: Mingle with SPCO musicians and other audience members in the Marzitelli Foyer, while enjoying complimentary champagne from Solo Vino and live jazz by Metro Retro.

(We’ll have similar festivities around the Friday night performance as well… watch for more information tomorrow.)
