Tonight is the second of two nights of our Ordway Concert Hall Opening Celebration concerts. If you’re going to join us tonight in downtown St. Paul, here are some things you’ll want to know.

Social Media

Tonight, we’ll once again share photos and backstage updates from @thespco on Twitter. During the concert, we’ll use the #spcolive hashtag, and you’re welcome to do the same.

Last-Minute Tickets

While tonight’s concert is sold out, it’s likely that last-minute cancellations will open up some seats just prior to the concert. If you want one of those seats, our Ticket Office staff encourages you to come to the Ordway box office beginning at 5:30 p.m. to see if tickets have been turned back. You can also try calling the SPCO Ticket Office at (651) 291-1144.

Traffic and Parking

With the Minnesota high school hockey tournament taking place at the Xcel Energy Center, expect extra congestion in downtown St. Paul. You’ll want to leave plenty of time for travel and parking.

Celebrations at the Ordway

Come early and stay late to join our celebration. Here’s what’s happening:

6:30 p.m.: Bars will open and the space will be open for ticket holders to explore.

7-7:30 p.m.: Join us in the Concert Hall for a special discussion between lead acoustician Paul Scarbrough, lead architect Tim Carl, and SPCO President and Managing Director Bruce Coppock to learn more about the process of designing the concert hall.

After the Concert: Mingle with SPCO musicians and other audience members in the Marzitelli Foyer, while enjoying complimentary champagne from Solo Vino and live jazz by Metro Retro.

See you tonight!
