TICKET OFFICE MANAGER

Full-Time – Non-Exempt (hours will include evenings and weekends)

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, now in its 56th season, is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. In collaboration with a team of artistic partners, its virtuoso musicians present more than 130 concerts and educational programs each year, and are regularly heard on public radio’s Performance Today which reaches 1.3 million listeners each week on 289 stations, and SymphonyCast reaching 250,000 listeners each week on 143 stations nationwide. The SPCO has released 67 recordings, commissioned 139 new works, and performed the world premiere of 49 additional compositions. The SPCO has earned the distinction of 17 ASCAP awards for adventurous programming. Renowned for its artistic excellence and remarkable versatility of musical styles, the SPCO tours nationally and internationally, including performances in premier venues in Europe, Asia and South America. The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra plays in numerous venues through the Twin Cities, playing approximately half of the season’s concerts at the Ordway in downtown St. Paul and the other concerts in neighborhood venues located throughout the Twin Cities including Minneapolis, Apple Valley, Arden Hills, Eden Prairie, Stillwater, and Wayzata.  The SPCO is nationally recognized for being one of the most accessible chamber orchestras through its low ticket prices and neighborhood concert venues.

The Ticket Office Manager oversees the daily operations of the Ticket Office including scheduling, hiring, and training ticket office staff, and manages between 7 and 10 direct reports.  This position will be responsible for building and maintaining events, offers, concert memberships and subscription packages in our electronic ticketing system.  Candidates considered for hire must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience
  • Clean driving record, means and ability to travel to all SPCO concert venues

Desired Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Direct experience with Audience View software and/or other database software
  • Experience in project management
  • Hiring, scheduling and training experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
