Bequests
For the musician who has yet to take the stage...
A bequest is a simple and convenient way to leave a lasting and significant impression on the SPCO.
A bequest may be made for:
- a specific gift of cash, stock or securities or
- a percentage of your estate after expenses are paid and payment of any specific amounts designated to other beneficiaries.
And may be designated for either:
- General purposes to be used at the SPCO's discretion or
- Restricted for endowment purposes.
The following model language may be helpful to you and your attorney in drafting your bequest for The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra:
I hereby give and devise to The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Society, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation, (select one)
the sum of $_______________
OR
____ % of the residue of my estate,
to be used for the following purposes (select one)
restricted for the endowment fund
OR
designated for general purposes to be used at the SPCO’s discretion
We would be pleased to assist you and your attorney in drafting specific language to best reflect your wishes and encourage you to let us know your final will provision in order to make certain that your wishes are properly carried out and recognized..
